When you’re hot, sweat glands in the feet exude sweat to lower body temperature. However, when sweat accumulates in shoes and socks, it provides an ideal environment for bacteria to thrive. • Use foot powder or antiperspirant. Foot powders and antiperspirants can help reduce sweating and odor. Sprinkle foot powder inside your shoes before wearing them to absorb moisture and prevent bacterial growth. Before putting on your shoes and socks, apply antiperspirant to your feet.
  • Soak your feet in vinegar. Vinegar is an effective natural remedy for smelly feet. Mix one part vinegar with two parts water and soak your feet in the solution for 15-20 minutes. The acid in he vinegar helps kill bacteria and neutralize odor.
